On my knees

It can be hard sometimes. One day it can keep you on your toes and the next, it can have you on your knees. And right now, that is where life has me--on my knees. Sometimes I wonder why am I here? How did I get here? Things were going so well--and then they weren't. But I know one thing and it is this--This is where God wants me. I don't want to be here, but this is were he wants me. And so I wait here--on my knees, to see what he has for me.

Only big girls sleep in cribs

Look at my precious little girl.

I love her. She looks like an angel when she sleeps.

Well, this little angel grew up over Labor Day weekend--she graduated from bassinet to crib. If it was up to me, she would have stayed in bassinet until she is one year old; although I don't think she would enjoy it very much. She is growing so much and she is so long, that she could barely fit in her bassinet and because of this she was waking up earlier--and I could have none of that. So, Sunday night was her first night in her crib, in the room she shares with Einstein. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who was nervous about her sleeping in the crib, because Einstein kept waking up with every move she made. Everytime she made a move he would turn on is bed side light and at around 5am that very light woke her up. And once she is up, she is up. It took me about an hour to get her to go back to sleep--and she would not go back in her crib. So, back in the bassinet she went. The next night we tired again and were victorious! So, now she sleep in her crib and wakes up at the crack of dawn--she actually wakes up before Einstein! She has adapted to Einstein's new school schedule better than I have--the reason for my lack of posts. I'm tired. Who knew that juggling two kids, two classes, a husband and two clients would be so much work. It's only been three days and I'm beat. I have to find a better way to juggle all this.

So, what have you been juggling this week?

A laborous Labor day weekend

I had planned on spending my Labor Day weekend like this:

...relaxing, catching up on my sleep. Instead I spend most of it like this...
...tired, harried and sometimes a little scary.

There was so much I wanted to get done this weekend--our last free weekend before school started for both Einstein and me. However, sometimes your best laid plans just don't work out like you would wish. I did accomplish some things though, like my desk.
Believe it or not, but I have not seen the top of my desk since before my little Princess was born. It was piled high with anything and everything. But ask me where something was and I could tell you the pile, I'm cool like that. Well, I could not stand it any longer. And since my desk/work area is in the living room, it was making the living room look messy too. I wish I would have taken a before shot so you could see how bad it really was, well, maybe it's a good thing I didn't---that might have been a bit embarrassing. Anyways, my desk is now clutter free and workable once again. A good thing too, because I start school today and I'm taking 2 classes this time--yikes! Two classes is technically full time--double yikes. Juggling two classes, two clients, two kids, a husband, and starting my own indie biz--double yikes, yikes! But with prayer and a whole lot faith I hope to manage through it all.

So, how did you spend your Labor day weekend?
