for this week's coffee date i would take you to my new favorite coffee house that I recently discovered. ironically, i have yet to try their coffee, but based on the other things i've tried i'm betting it's pretty awesome.

if we were having coffee today, i would tell you that this week has been a week of firsts--some i expected and some i didn't. this week was supposed to be a fun-filled, packed to the max, last week before school--yet, God had other plans.

if we were having coffee today, i would tell you that my little princess went swimming for the very first time this week. i wasn't quite sure how she would like...well, she loved it. she treated the pool like it was a big bath tub. she splashed and played the entire time...she had a blast. and after swimming, she enjoyed a refreshing little snack of watermelon. how cute is her *little* belly.

if we were having coffee today, i would tell you that the day after our fun-filled afternoon swimming, i found myself in the ER with my baby girl. i never imagined to find myself there, but that's where i spent most of my day. my dear little princess had an allergic reaction to some food that she had eaten for breakfast. what was supposed to be an impromptu, fun breakfast at ihop turned into a mad dash to the ER. thankfully, her reaction disappeared as fast as it had appeared. i left the hospital with a hungry little girl and a fist full of medicine.

if were were having coffee today, i would tell you that i had, my first ever, google chat this week. i had the pleasure of chatting with the sweet Alissa from Rags to Stitches. she is super sweet, with a heart of gold, and full of sage advice. she is the host of the weekly coffee dates, so if you haven't met her already, make sure to hop on over to her blog.

if were having coffee today, i would tell you that God has really been working on my heart and teaching me to be a better listener. one thing in particular that He has been teaching me is that i need to listen to Him the first time he tells me something, not the fifthteenth...ironically, this is something i have been trying to drill into einstein's head. maybe i should practice what i preach and be an example--God seems to never stop teaching me something in one way or another.

if were having coffee today, i would tell you that i am a bit apprehenisive about next week. next week is a big week--einstein starts 4th grade at his new school. there is still so much to do in preparation, like buy his uniforms *gasp*, but i know we will get it all done.

if were having coffee today, i would tell you that i am kinda excited about all the things i have planned for this weekend...nothing very big and exciting, just stuff i had to put off because of school. i also want to tell you how much i enjoy our coffee dates...i look forward to them every. it's so nice to know that i have a friend ready and waiting to listen to me babble...so, how are you? any big plans for the weekend?

today i am linking up with Alissa from Rags to Stitches.
