{coffee date::head in the sand}

Photo: Having the ttime of her life

if we were having coffee today, i would take you to my favorite coffee place in whole the world--Busters! I would get my favorite drink, a cappuccino float--ice cold cappuccino with two big scoops of coffee ice cream, topped with a dollup of whip cream--perfect for a hot day like this. I would also get a piece of their amazing short's the best i've ever had, you gotta try some.

if we were having coffee today i would tell you, i don't know how i made it through last week if it weren't for the grace of God. I had only a week to catch up on 4 weeks of statistics homework and tests. let's just say there were long nights (staying up to till 4am to 5am in the morning), gallons of coffee, and my head buried in a book. but alas, i made it through and ended up passing the class with flying colors.

if we were having coffee today, i would tell you it so nice to be out and about. last week, i was so focused on my homework that i felt like i had my head in the sand. sure the kids and i went out and did things--like tour the queen mary and go to the beach--but knowing i was coming home to statistics, made the ride home bittersweet.

if we were having coffee i would tell you, that my sweet little princess has been teething--teething severely. she is getting all her molars in at once. and my sweet little princess has lost some of her sweetness because of this. I hate seeing her in so much pain and discomfort. this is when being a momma is hard--not being able to take away my child's pain, breaks me heart. i am hoping that her molars pop out soon, because i miss my little sweetness.

if we were having coffee i would tell you, that einstein is starting school next week. not only is starting school next week, but he is also going to a new school. the beginning of the school year is always a little hard for him, he gets a lot of anxiety and has trouble sleeping. please keep him in your prayers and the first day of school approaches. and i have to admit, part of me is really gonna miss having him around.

if we were having coffee i would tell you that we are trying to make the most of our last week of freedom before school starts. this is our last week of sleeping in and staying up late. it's our last week of going out and having fun without a care in the world. it's our last week of no cubscouts, meetings or sports. it's our last week to just be free.

if we were having coffee i would tell you that God has been teaching me and showing me alot this week. one thing He has put on my heart is the desire to help and serve others. I am not quite sure how He wants me to do this yet, but I am praying He guides and directs in the way He wants me to go.

if we were having coffee i would tell you, that i have some big things in the of which is a new blog to futher build the blogging community. it is something i am really excited about and i hope to get under way soon--Lord willing.

if we were having coffee i would tell you, that i am going to just soak up this time i have off until school starts. I am going to get organized, sew, make new pieces for the shop, and soak up my family as much as possible.

  1. yumm... I want to have that coffee with you at your favorite place, that sounds so wonderful. My baby is working on her last molar...brutal! I've definitely been praying lately for a servant's heart - which is not an easy prayer, for a selfish human.

thank you for your comment...i read every one and they make me smile.
