{can i just say...}

can i just say...
...after hearing so much about downton abbey on twitter and such i  started watching it this past weekend and i must say I'm addicted! i am almost done with season and I cannot stop watching!!!
...that i have been seriously contemplating starting a food blog. i am really in falling in love with food and i would love to document me journey, but i wonding if it will be too much...what do you think?
...i'm sick again and so the is the husband, and my little princess is still sick...being sick means the little princess and i are stuck in the house--no playdates, no sanity.
...i'm graduating in 5 months...yes, i said 5 months! and no matter how many times i say it, i just can't belive it! i'm just waiting for something to go wrong.
...i love swings. yesterday when i picked up einstein from school he was telling me how they have being having competitions on who can swing the highest. apparently einstein and his friend are the best so far. i thought it was neat, that in this day and time, kids still enjoy the art of swinging.
...God has been really working on my heart these past few's been an eye opening experience to say the least.
...the husband turns 32 on saturday and i'm not quite sure what do for him...any suggestions.
well, that's all i have to say--for now...what's on your mind?

i love the simplicity of this dress. it's beauty is found in it's simplicity.
via yahoo
i love the lace on this dress...would i wear it? no, but i admire her for doing so.
Kristen Bell

i love how adoreable she looks in this dress. if i were pregnant and i had an award show to go attend i would wear this dress, probably wouldn't look as good as her, but i'd try.
so what were your favs?

{coffee date::catching up}

if were having coffee today i would have you meet me at my all time favorite coffee shop--busters! i haven't been here since forever!!! I would order my usual plus a piece of shortbread--they have the best shortbread by the way. after finding a seat upstairs, we would sit and chat for a bit--catch up it's been way to long since our last coffee date.

if we were having coffee today i would tell you this did not go as planned. this was supposed to be a week of new beginnings and of getting things done. instead, it turned to be the complete opposite.
 if we were having coffee today i would tell you my little princess has been sick all week. monday and tuesday she woke every other hour and all she wanted was for me to pick her up, give her a hug and then lay her back down. *melt my momma heart* needless to say i have not had much sleep this week. this was supposed to be the week I go to bed on time and wake up early. well, that went out the window as soon as my little princess got sick.
if we were having coffee today, i would have to confess that i have been in yoga pants and glasses all week...and honestly, i would did not realize it until the husband told me today that i looked and that it was nice to see me in jeans once again...oops.
if we were having coffee today i would tell you i school started this week for both einstein and me. this session is my most intense yet! i am taking not one but two writing classes which means lots and lots of writing. i had grand plans to do a little each day and for once in my scholarly life get things done before they're due--well that did not happen. my lack a sleep derailed my grand plan and while I'm trying not to let it get me down, i'm hoping to be able to catch and get everything done and turned in on time sunday.
if we were having coffee today i would tell you that i have lots and lots of plans for this here blog and while all these ideas are swimming around in my head, i'm doing best to not  get ahead of myself and to stay focused on thing at a time.
if were having coffee today i would tell you that i finally admitted to myself that i am creative. i know that may sound weird, but for the first time in my life i actually believed it. this is a very big step for me. you see i always feel like a failure and for me to admit that i am actually good at something is really huge for me. this past year, i have, little by litte, been embracing my creative side and i am very happy for how far i have come and excited for what this year si going to bring.
if we were having coffee today i would tell you that i am hoping next week is better--more productive--and if it's not that's ok too.

{making your home your own::bathroom art}

moving to this house meant we lost a bathroom. einstein's bathroom is now the guest bathroom. this has been quite an adjustment for einstein. sharing a bathroom means he can't leave his clothes lying around, he has to put the toilet down etc, etc. i'm constanly having to remind him to pick up his clothes, flush the toilet and so on and so on. so i decided to make things easier on him and me, i would put some cut little "reminders" around the bathroom in the way of bathroom art.
of course, my first go to place to search for bathroom art is etsy. here are a few of the prints i fell in love with, the only problem is i love them all. let me know what you think.

{the nitty gritty of being a mommy to boys}

ever since i was little i had decided that i would have 6 kids {so far we have 2 and counting} and the first be would a boy. I always wanted a boy first so that he would take care of all his younger brother and sisters.
now i did not grow up with boys--it was always just me and my sister. and so having a little boy was quite the eye opening and still is an eye opening adventure everyday.
For instance, I did not know how gross and dirty boys can be. When they sweat they smell like little puppies.  They also like to pick their nose and stick their 'gold" on the nearest wall. If you ask them to get dressed do not expect matching clothes or the for the clothes to be right-side-out for that matter. Just be happy that atleast they have put on 'clean' clothes. Oh, their appetite...they eat and eat and eat--all day and all night. It is like throwing food down an empty black hole that never fills up not matter how much you throw at it.
little boys like to collect things. when i say 'things' i mean  trash like rocks, paper, odd little pieces of metal, more rocks, broken crayons, hot wheels and the list goes on and on. and when they collect said 'things' they like to stuff them in their pockets. so when you do the laundry you find nice little 'surprises'--it's sort of like going on a treasure hunt, i never know what i am going to find.
but i must say, by far, the grossest things about boys relates to the bathroom. for example, if you tell them to take a shower, make sure they actually get in the shower. and sometimes, just sometimes, take a sniff at their head when they get out--just because they actually get in the shower and get wet does not mean they actually use soap themselves. and of course they always forget to put the toilet down and one of the worst things--they forget to flush--so gross!
 but despite all their grossness and such, boys do have their sweet side. for instance, if you're having a bad day, they will be the first to console you with a big hug. if you're feeling sick, they will take care of you. and on those quiet nights, right before bed, they will snuggle with you for a bit. and then there are those days when you've been running around , the kids have been driving you crazy and you're thoroughly exhausted. you sit on the couch just for a moment, but ending falling asleep because you're so tired and then you wake up to this:
just in case you can't read it, it says, " Dear Mom, This is a awsome thing for a awsome girl. "
 along with a big glass of a "special" concoction made just for you--composed of cherry limeade, tropical punch and maraschino cherries.
 and in that moment you forget all the grossness and you wrap your arms around him and just drink him in--and in the briefest of moments you think how wonderful it would be to have a house full of boys. and then you walk into your kitchen and see juice all over the counter with opened jars of cheeries strewn about and that moment is gone. for now, one boy is just enough for me.

My Pretty Pennies

 My name is Ginna and I write at My Pretty Pennies about my newlywed life on a budget. I started My Pretty Pennies when I got out of college as as way to pay off my $13k debt. I have a passion for helping women get out of debt, save for the future, and use their money to change the world, one pretty penny at a time. I also share the ups and downs of life, home/food inspiration, my faith, and everyday goals.

Glued to My Crafts

Glued to my Crafts
Hello everyone! I'm Stacey and I blog over at Glued To My Crafts. I'm a mother to a nearly two year old boy, who keeps me on my toes and inspires a lot of my posts. I'm also a wife to a wonderful man serving in the Air Force. I'm a girly-girl who loves cooking, crafting and inspiring. Ok, the last one is more of a "I hope I inspire you." My blog is mainly about life experiences, recipes and craft creations. Everything I post can we be recreated with simple, everyday items you probably already have in your house. Even though I'm a shopaholic, I'm all about saving money and using what you have already. I don't spend a lot to be crafty, and neither should you.

My Personal Biography: Chaos, Commotion, emotion

"I'm a wife, a mother, and a career woman, who is growing up one day at a time. I lead a dysfunctional, sometimes normal, always crazy, full of love, extremely interesting life. What more could I ask for?
I have a degree in Information Technology and I'm currently serving in the role of Release Engineer for a large communications company.  Previously, I've worked for several IT departments in some very large brokerage firms.  I am a non-practicing licensed investment broker.  I am an area manager for Jewels By Park Lane, an awesome direct sales company that sells designer inspired jewelry.  I am motivated.  I am goal driven.  I am a go-getter.  I am determined. I am successful."

Ninth Street Notions

I'm a crafter, sewer, cook. But mostly I'm a wife and soon-to-be first-time mommy. I love creating projects that aren't overly difficult or time-consuming because, let's face it: not all of us are naturally crafty, but we still want to make beautiful things.

Fun and Fancy

I'm a stay at home mom of two who loves to craft! I've been making jewelry and accessories as gifts for a little while and decided to start a side-business making the things I love. I just started up my shop after Thanksgiving this year, and I have been having a blast with it.
